Algiz Rune – Huginn & Muninn, Urnes Style
This artistic interpretation of the Algiz rune combines Norse-inspired protective symbolism with the flowing animal interlace of the Urnes style. The branching silhouette is formed by elegant intertwined ribbons, elaborate ornamental details, and sculptural raven heads at the ends of the upper arms.
The composition references Huginn and Muninn, Odin’s two ravens, traditionally associated with thought and memory. Their presence gives the design a distinctive mythological identity, while the Algiz-inspired form reinforces its association with protection in modern Norse-inspired jewelry.
Versatile Jewelry Component
The model is designed without a conventional pendant bail, allowing jewelers to adapt it to different projects. The original upper loop can be retained, modified, or removed according to the intended application.
Possible uses include:
Norse-inspired pendants and amulets
Statement earrings
Bracelet and necklace embellishments
Decorative jewelry appliqués
Custom cast-metal components
